Oct 8, 2015-Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) on Thursday dispatched its Boeing 757 to Kolkata to get flying turbine fuel to energize the exhausted stores of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) in the midst of stresses that proceeded with deficiencies because of the bar by India could ground household bearers.NAC authorities said that the Boeing made two roundtrips to Kolkata. The primary flight arrived at 4:15pm at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Thursday. In 1989 as well, the then Royal Nepal Airlines had made a comparative airdrop from Bangladesh to keep the kitchen flames smoldering after the southern neighbor fixed the fringe.
NAC representative Ram Hari Sharma said that after the Boeing was defueled, it would be sent back to lead its general administrations on the Kuala Lumpur and Doha parts on Thursday night. He said that a Boeing 757 could convey 33 tons of fuel in the tanks in its wings. Kathmandu to Kolkata is a 45-moment flight. "The plane requires 7.5 tons of fuel for the roundtrip," he said.
"Defueling the air ship will yield no less than 20 tons in the wake of leaving enough in its tanks to direct its normal flights," he included. "This will help NOC to support its stores. We can airdrop more fuel according to the administration's request and need." The day by day fuel necessity of residential transporters adds up to 50 tons. Sharma said that NAC planes would not be transporting different powers like petrol, melted petroleum gas and diesel.
